My husband and I recently celebrated our 8th anniversary vacationing together for a few days on the island of Oahu. I was only in Hawaii for 3 days while he had to stay a few days longer to hop over to Kauai for business. I do love the fact that he knows me so well that he no longer bothers to buy me flowers or chocolates for Valentine's Day. Instead, on his own accord he walked into a yarn shop on Kauai to buy me a bouquet of yarn-3 hanks! I do love this guy!
They are hand dyed on Kauai from locally grown botanicals. The colors are one in Red Dirt and two in Hibiscus 'Olena. The fibers include 52% Bamboo, 43% superwash Merino Wool, and 5% combed Silk. Each hank has 200 yards each, and the needles they recommend are sizes US 2-4. Does anyone have any ideas what I should make with them? For myself of course! There is no way I am gifting away any of these pretties!
